The Skin And Vitamin D

Hi lovely people,

Did you know that our bodies acquire Vitamin D primarily from sunlight? Our skin produces much higher doses of Vitamin D from sunlight than we can get from oral supplementation or diet.

Our skin is responsible for producing and delivering Vitamin D into our bloodstream in a safe and controlled manner. It cannot absorb Vitamin D from the bloodstream and relies solely on the Vitamin D it produces itself. For the skin to remain healthy, it requires high levels of Vitamin D.

Everyone knows about the dangers of over exposure to the sun. You do not want to ever get sunburnt. But a small amount of healthy, sensible sun exposure is good for the skin. If you are going to spend an extended amount of time in the sun ALWAYS apply sun protection.

Vitamin D in the skin helps to:

Normalize cell division.

Improve barrier function

Regulate skin inflammation and the skin’s immune response.

Boost Anti Microbial Peptide production (AMP’s) which helps to fight pathogenic microbes on the skin.

This serum is suitable for:

All skin types

Sensitive skin

Rough flaky skin

Dull lackluster skin

Premature ageing

Apply the serum in the morning along with other Esse serums and moisturizers. Activate the serum in direct sunlight for five minutes before applying sunscreen and foundation.

Please share your feedback about the Pro-Sun D Serum. I understand that it might be difficult for you to understand the concept of this new product as we are often advised to protect our skin from the sun. However, if you can spare 5 minutes of sun exposure every day without sunscreen, you will notice incredible benefits for your skin.

Until next time.

Love, Peta
